With unemployment rates so high, you have to do everything that you possibly can to put yourself ahead of your competition, and having a chipped tooth will definitely set you back a few bars. Gum Disease Increases Risk For Cancer

Gum disease has been linked to heart disease and an increase risk for heart conditions for many years now, but a new study is showing that gum disease, also known as gingivitis, might also have an effect on a woman’s risk factors for breast cancer.

In a study recently published in Breast Cancer Research & Treatment, over 3,000 women between the ages of 30 and 40 were evaluated for 15 years, starting in 1985. The women in this study who had documented chronic gum disease, or who had lost at least one molar from gum  disease, were twice as likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer than those who had never struggled with gingivitis.
